Erasmus+ Project DIRECTORS

We’re excited to introduce the DIRECTORS (DIgital data-dRiven EduCaTion fOR kidS) project, funded by Erasmus+ under Project ID: 2023-1-NL01-KA210-SCH-000157821. With a project duration of 24 months, starting in December 2024, DIRECTORS aims to bring new approaches to primary education through digital literacy initiatives.

The main goal of the DIRECTORS project is to promote data literacy in primary education by introducing new teaching methods and materials. By updating current curricula on data education, we aim to enhance the digital and data skills of both teachers and students.
One of our key objectives is to create an accessible and inclusive website, equipped with digital tools and open educational resources. This platform will serve as the primary hub for project activities, providing valuable resources and support for project partners and users.

To achieve our goals, we’re organizing a series of workshops throughout 2024 and 2025 in Zagreb and Delft, tailored for primary school teachers and pupils. These workshops offer a unique opportunity for pupils to explore the real-world applications of data and enhance their competencies. Meanwhile, teachers will receive specialized training and teaching tools to effectively impart data literacy skills in the classroom.
Our new teaching approach and developed learning tools will undergo testing and evaluation during these workshops. The insights gained from these sessions will inform the development of teaching guidelines, paving the way for the integration of data literacy into primary school curricula nationwide.

Join us on this journey as we work towards a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive in the digital age. Together, let’s empower the next generation with essential digital and data skills!
